Strike The Blood Anime!
By : AnimeTensaiHey sorry I've been a little absent lately... Totally my fault because I actually completely forgot all about this blog but also some other real life problems arose which prevented me from updating the blog... But anyways, I don't want to make any excuses so I'll just promptly apologize for that and get on with what this post is all about! STRIKE THE BLOOD!
So I'm sure many of you have heard of the anime "Strike The Blood", which began airing last season which was the Fall 2013 anime season. It was quite a popular anime among anime fans and many people were excited to hear about it being turned into an anime after the light novels (me included).
Anyways this season of Winter 2013 is actually continuing the anime because it is supposed to be a 24 episode run. I just wanted to talk about it a bit and discuss my thoughts on it since now it is halfway through. I probably should have made this post before the 13th episode came out which was the start of the "second season" of the anime, but again some problems arose which prevented me from doing so.

SO DAMN KAWAII *NOSEBLEEDS* |
The animation was also really great and if you're someone like me who only watches 720P or 1080P because 480P is like a disease and just looks REALLY bad. Like once you've seen 720P or 1080P, you can't even go back and compare them. It's on an ENTIRELY new level. I would probably never want to watch it in 480P again if I didn't have to. On that note, having a great cast of characters and animation doesn't make an anime, there obviously needs to be some form of a story! In my opinion, I really liked the story so far in STB, I mean it seemed a little different from all the other stuff I've been seeing which has been kind of repetitive and seeing a new type of "genre" emerge made me pretty excited. I think this anime is actually quite similar to another anime known as "Campione" which also revolves around having powers/pillars which summon gods to help aid the main character in his battles. The story actually has something going for it and isn't continual fan service made out to milk as much money from the anime as it can. Of course, I'm not one to say I hate fan service when in fact I love it, but when all they do is have fan service I don't really enjoy the anime as much (I'm looking at you Boku wa Tomodachi!)
Anyways finally I'd just like to wrap up by saying that if you enjoyed "Campione" or "Dakara Boku wa, H ga Dekinai", I'd definitely recommend you check out Strike The Blood!
Well since I'm too lazy to even post any sort of brief description of the anime, I'll just copy and paste one right here! So here you go!
The Fourth Primogenitor—that's the world's strongest vampire that should only exist in legends. Accompanied by twelve Kenjuu and spreading calamity, this phantom vampire appeared in Japan. For the observation and obliteration of this Fourth Primogenitor, the government and Lion King decided to dispatch an attack mage known as a Sword Shaman. However, for some reason, the one chosen for the observation was a apprentice Sword Shaman girl, Himegari Yukina. Wielding the strongest anti-primogenitor spirit spear, Yukina arrived at Demon District, Itogami City. What is the true identity of the Fourth Primogenitor, Akatsuki Kojou, she encountered over there?!

Noragami Anime First Impressions
By : AnimeTensaiSo it's the start of a new year and that also means the start of a new season for anime! This season a couple of new anime have rolled out and the theme for this season seems to be something along the lines of historical comedy or something... I mean look at the anime list, all these Edo period anime with Nobunaga in them and stuff. I could be wrong though... There actually seems to be a mix of tons of different stuff really.
Anyways, one anime which recently just came out and I decided to give a spin was "Noragami". So the anime is about gods, spirits, devils and all that crazy stuff which somehow always manages to pull me in. The main character is Yato, a god, who says "I will solve your troubles", of course, nothing is for free, and he asks for a price... 5 YEN! Yup, just 5 yen... I was pretty surprised too considering the main character started spouting out numbers in the thousands and he just low balls it to 5 Yen LOL. Since this girl "saved" his life before he almost got ran over by a car he feels obliged to grant her wish and takes her under his wing. Now I don't exactly want to spoil EVERYTHING, I kind of summed up everything but it's not really in detail anyways. So I guess all that's left is for you to watch it really. I'll just leave the PV here for you to take your pick on whether or not you want to see it. I think it's one of the better anime this season and seems like this season will be a fun one too.
Oh yeah and, Happy New Year! Since I forgot to say it last time LOL.
Sword Art Online II?
By : AnimeTensaiHi everyone, first post here but you can just refer to me as Tensai.
So anyways just today, or well I should say yesterday, news about Sword Art Online II came out after the Sword Art Online Extra Edition episode came out during New Years! Apparently, this will be airing on April 23, 2014. Yeah I just used bold there for anyone who doesn't really want to read this and just wants to know the airing date. So at the end of the episode, if you've seen it then you'll see that they announce that Sword Art Online II is coming out and then later via Twitter they announce it will be a TV anime. Now I don't know about anyone else here, but if you've read the light novels then you know that after the Alfeim Online Arc, the Phantom Bullet (Gun Gale Online) Arc happens next. So actually, the TV anime will be following the light novel starting from this Phantom Bullet Arc... There isn't exactly any details on whether or not they will go past this and into the next arc and since I don't want to spoil anything for anyone who hasn't read it yet, or hasn't even watched the Extra Edition episode, I'll just leave the PV for the Sword Art Online II anime here!
P.S. On that note, I'm actually wondering whether or not this will turn into another Sword Art catastrophe... I remember in the first season of the anime they decided to turn away from fighting action anime into a romantic drama. I'm not saying I didn't like it but it was a pretty cliche ending which left a bitter taste in my mouth. So I'm happy they're continuing it so I can hopefully see a better ending...
